YEREVAN. – Mayor of an Armenian town of Armavir who was injured as a result of a landmine blast has been discharged from hospital.
Ruben Khalatyan was discharged from Erebuni medical center on Wednesday, spokesperson for the hospital Shushan Hunanyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The incident occurred last week in Vaghazin village of the Kashatagh Region of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, as a Toyota Prado exploded on landmine. As a result, the driver died on the spot, whereas passengers Ruben Khlghhatyan, Artur Baghdasaryan, and Garnik Avetisyan were taken to a local medical center. Subsequently, however, they were transported on a helicopter to Erebuni medical center.
