YEREVAN. – An Armenian border village of Berkaber was under Azerbaijani fire on Wednesday, the villagers say.

The locals claim that, although Azerbaijani side fire is not a new thing, but fire has never been that intensive. Head of the village Arthur Madatyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that Azerbaijani side opened fire in early morning of Wednesday that continued for more than five hours.

“Fortunately, there are no losses. The adversary was firing at the orchards were people were working. We managed to hide and close all the windows. But orchards and houses were damaged,” he said.

At the moment the situation is calm, but the villagers are in panic.
