YEREVAN. – Armenia's Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan received Ukraine's Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Kukhta.

The Minister noted that friendly relations between the states are preserved regardless of Ukrainian crisis and political processes. The Minister pointed out tourism and information technologies as key directions of economic cooperation.

Ivan Kukhta for his part said that the new leadership of Ukraine is trying as much as possible to restore the work and carry out all the structural reforms in the government in short terms, that will provide an opportunity to re-engage with all countries. Referring to economic relations with Armenia, the Ambassador expressed hope that both countries will find common ground, regardless of integration into different unions.

The parties stressed the need for more efficient use of all opportunities for cooperation. A regular meeting of the Armenian-Ukrainian intergovernmental commission planned for October is another opportunity to discuss cooperation prospects.
