YEREVAN. – The Rescue Service of Armenia received a call, on Friday at 11:32pm, informing that there was a road accident nearby the US Embassy in Yerevan.  

A firefighting squad and a special rescue team were dispatched to the scene of the incident.

It was found out that a Mitsubishi Chariot (driver, A. GH., born in 1975) and an Opel Vectra (driver, M. K., born in 1950) had crashed. As a result, the Mitsubishi Chariot had gone off road and hit the pole of a billboard.   

The Mitsubishi Chariot’s driver was taken to Armenia Medical Center; he is in average but critical condition. The passengers—Russian Federation citizens M. Ch. (born in 1987), L. A. (born in 1973), N. (born in 1998) and M. (born in 2002) A., L. (born in 2007) and D. (born in 2006) Gh.—were transferred to the St. Mary Medical Center, where doctors say the patients are in satisfactory condition.
