YEREVAN. – Representatives of Armenia's Emergency Situations Ministry and Ministry of Transport have left for Vanadzor-Alaveri highway that was damaged by a landslide.

Emergency Situations Minister Armen Yeritsyan said the torrential rains triggered landslide on Wednesday on the Armenian section of Yerevan-Tbilisi highway.

“The highway is closed, and our employees are working together with the local road construction company,” he said during the government's meeting on Thursday,

As reported earlier, landslide damaged half of the highway.
