YEREVAN. – Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Sunday visited the tent camp of “Together 2014” pan-Armenian educational forum which is organized by “Together” youth movement, and at Sevan National Park.

Held for the sixth consecutive year, this year’s camp was attended by 500 young people from capital city Yerevan and the regions, informed the Press Office of the President.

The President toured the camp, and spoke with the participants to learn of their daily routine, living conditions, and the events held so far.

The President was informed that the campers have developed a hectic and exciting agenda, with daily lectures held on various topics, different public figures hosted, and sports competitions organized.

Sargsyan also answered several questions asked by the campers, and which related to our Armenia’s foreign policy, present-day challenges, youth affairs, national defense, and several other matters.

In particular, and concerning Armenia-Turkey relations and Yerevan’s official position on the question at issue, the President said the Turkish government has invited Armenia to attend President-elect Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s inauguration ceremony, and that, in all likelihood, Armenia will attend at the level of its Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Serzh Sargsyan also said that the Foreign Minister will be informed whether the new President of Turkey will visit the Armenian Genocide Memorial during the upcoming commemorations, on April 24, 2015, of the centennial of the Genocide, and see first hand the Eternal Flame-bound vast human procession, which has been growing in intensity over many decades.

As to when the Armenian-Turkish border will be opened, the President said this is hard tell, though he stressed that Armenia’s desire is to see it open as soon as possible.
