Starting from 2014, ten Armenian schools will launch a pilot program of classes of traditional songs and dances, Education Ministry representative said on Monday.

The Ministry will organize trainings for teachers who will teach traditional Armenian songs and dances for 5-7 grades' students.

“The aim of the program is to bring children closer to the national culture and preserve Armenian identity,” she said.

The idea was welcomed by the parents and teachers.
