NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen is not ready to name the terms for independent Scotland's accession to the Alliance, if the latter get the status as a result of referendum.
The NATO chief said he would not interfere with the referendum, adding that an independent state should submit an application if it wants to join the Alliance, RIA Novostu reported.
An application will be considered by the NATO members as any other one and will require consensus, Rasmussen said in Brussels.
He said Scotland's membership has not been discussed at NATO.
