YEREVAN. – Not only the single pensioners need to be assisted in Armenia.

The aforementioned is stated in the concept for the provision of social services, which was adopted at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

The concept notes that the elderly who live with their families likewise need state support.

According to this concept, the household members’ demeanor toward these elderly people very often changes due to the deterioration of the health of these elderly. Consequently, they, too, need support.

In addition, as stated by the concept, it is indispensable to apply new measures of psychological support to the elderly, and to engage the pensioners in community life.
