The Ukrainian, Polish and Lithuanian defense ministers have signed an agreement, in the Polish capital city of Warsaw, and with respect to forming a joint military brigade under the name LITPOLUKRBRIG.

Within the framework of this joint military unit, the Ukrainian, Lithuanian and Polish soldiers will participate in joint military exercises and, subsequently, in joint operations, NEWSru.ua reported.

The respective technical documents will be prepared within two years; once this term expires, the joint military brigade must be in a state of complete readiness.

“The signing of this agreement was a part of the plan, which was discussed at the NATO summit in Newport [, Wales], where a decision was made on helping Ukraine,” Polish President Bronisław Komorowski stated.
