The Armenian Embassy held a reception in Estonia, and devoted to the 23rd anniversary of the independence of Armenia.

The event was held on Friday at the Riigikogu, the Parliament of Estonia.

It is noteworthy that an event on the national day of another country was held in the Estonian parliament for the first time.

The reception brought together Estonian MPs, diplomats, and representatives from the political, social and academic circles and from the Estonian-Armenian community.

Armenia’s Ambassador to Estonia Ara Ayvazian—whose diplomatic residence is in the Lithuanian capital city of Vilnius—, and Riigikogu First Vice-President Laine Randjärv delivered welcoming remarks at the event.

In his address, Ambassador Ayvazian thanked the Estonian parliament leadership for hosting this reception devoted to Armenia’s National Day, reflected on the history of Armenian-Estonian relations, and underscored the further development of these ties.
