YEREVAN. – Each Armenian should ask himself what he has done for his homeland, President Serzh Sargsyan said addressing the fifth Armenia-Diaspora forum in Yerevan.

“The Armenian nation is represented by independent Armenia, free Artsakh and strong Diaspora,” he emphasized.

The nation that overcamte sufferings of war has no right to give in amid current problems.

“Consolidation against external danger is not that difficult. In everyday live, we must understand that we, ourselves, are our supposed enemy. We must struggle against shortcomings and weakness,” he added.

President Sargsyan spoke about problems of Armenian communities in the context of regional confrontations. He recalled that around 12,000 of Syrian Armenians settled in the country and they need assistance and support.

The Armenian state agencies are engaged in work aimed at solving problems of the Syrian Armenians who are quickly integrating into the Armenian society, Serzh Sargsyan added.
