Armenia National Assembly (NA) Vice-Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, who is in the Czech Republic on an official visit, on Monday met with Deputy Mayor of Prague, Václav Novotný.

The parties stressed the need for concrete steps to expand bilateral cooperation, and underscored the need to sign a cooperation agreement between the Armenian and the Czech capital cities of Yerevan and Prague, respectively.

Sharmazanov positively evaluated an Armenian cross-stone’s official unveiling in Downtown Prague in April 25, and in connection with the Armenian Apostolic Church’s official registration in the Czech Republic and as a sign of the Armenian-Czech friendship.

At the end of the talk, the Armenian NA deputy chair signed the honorary guest book of the Prague City Hall.
