A survey conducted by the MetroPOLL analytical firm, and to determine the public opinion in Turkey regarding the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group, has yielded interesting results.

A total of 53 percent of the survey respondents was convinced that ISIS was formed in Turkey.

As per another 53 percent, ISIS, or Jabhat al-Nusra—which is a branch of al-Qaeda—, will carry out terrorist attacks in Turkey, too.    

Separately, a reader commented the following on the website of Mynethaber, which has posted the results of this survey: “Those who slaughter the PKK [i.e., the Kurdistan Workers’ Party] militants, Armenians, Yezidis, [and] Kurds are not terrorists. Moreover, they are my friends. I’m embarrassed to say, but, now, the Islamic State is doing what we [Turks] could not do.”
