The International Labour Organization (ILO) has proposed to all its members to switch to a four-day work week, Gazeta.ru reported.

According to the ILO experts, a shortened work week will help solve several problems.

First, this will lead to an improvement in the employment situation, since it will help create more jobs.

In addition, a four-day work week will contribute to the improvement of the employees’ health, since work overload, sedentary office life, and stress causes numerous illnesses.

Furthermore, people will feel happy and satisfied in the case of a shortened work week, since long-term work leads to arguments at the workplace and at home.

Armenia is one of the International Labour Organization’s 185 member countries.
