YEREVAN. – Armenian Deputy Prime Minister and Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan, who is also a Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Economic Council member, on Monday received CIS Executive Committee Chairman, Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev.

The interlocutors conferred on CIS cooperation; they specifically reflected on the 16th meeting—which is held in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan—of the Council of the Heads of the Migration Agencies of the CIS Member States, informed the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration of Armenia.

The deputy PM noted that the regulation of migration processes within the CIS is on the agenda of the Armenian government, and he welcomed the holding of the aforesaid meeting in Armenia for the first time.

Gevorgyan and Lebedev also reflected on collaboration within the framework of the CIS Economic Council, and discussed economic and humanitarian cooperation.
