YEREVAN. – Several dozens of capital city Yerevan residents, who have become the victims of eminent domain, on Thursday have assembled outside the Government of Armenia Building.

Two residents even attempted to break into the building, but the police officers did not permit them, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from the location.

Subsequently, a new police force arrived to the area, and they are patrolling the building entrance with two police rows.

The residents, who have gathered outside the Government Building, say they will stay there until they meet with the Prime Minister.

“We are so outraged that we will even break windows. They deceived us, saying they will give [us] the apartments [that we were promised], but we are living on rent for long years,” a resident said.
