YEREVAN. – Some 72 workers have been fired from Armenia police within nine months, Deputy Chief Hunan Poghosyan told reporters on Thursday.

Internal investigations have been conducted into the cases involving over one thousand police officers. Several hundred police workers were reprimanded.

“To compare, only 37 police officers were fired last year,” Poghosyan added.
