YEREVAN. – It is time for the political forces in Armenia to closely follow the document on constitutional amendments and say if there are any shortcomings.

Government Chief of Staff-Minister Davit Harutyunyan, who is also a member of the Presidential Professional Commission on Constitutional Reforms, told the above-said to reporters on Friday.

Harutyunyan noted the aforesaid while commenting on the non-government forces’ statements against the proposed constitutional amendments.

“I believe that anyone making such a claim should be able to detect, within the concept [for constitutional reforms], a relevant section which gives rise to such a concern.

“The fact that you are hearing just an assessment, and not a substantial criticism, in any serious discussion, bespeaks the value of this very assessment.

“If you are hearing such accusations, these accusations can be made about any document, even when not being familiar with the contents of this document,” Davit Harutyunyan stated, in particular.
