YEREVAN. – Armenian parliament member Edmon Marukyan offers to soften the regime of temporary import for personal vehicles of Armenian citizens visiting the country.
Independent MP Marukyan offered to allow them to use the regime of temporary import up to four times a year for a period of 30 days.
According to existing Customs Code, movement of goods is allowed for 15 days not more often than twice a year.
“The law is causing great inconvenience and is fraught with penalties for Armenian citizens living in Russia and Georgia coming by a personal vehicle to Armenia to take care of their family, for a funeral, a wedding, or as a tourist,” Marukyan explained.
