YEREVAN. – Armenian National Assembly (NA) Speaker Galust Sahakyan on Thursday received a delegation from the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF).

Sahakyan underscored the deepening of relations with China. In his view, the expanding and deepening of bilateral cooperation will contribute to the strengthening of interaction and the invigoration of contact between the two nations. The NA leader also highlighted the need for active contacts and mutual visits between the woman MPs of the two countries.

Head of the ACWF delegation, Yu Hongqiu,—who is a member of the All-China Assembly of the People’s Representatives of China, Deputy Chair of the ACWF, and a member of the Secretariat—, for her part, presented their mission, challenges and priorities, as well partnership opportunities and ongoing programs.

The parties discussed the priorities of and prospects for the national programs aimed at solving women’s issues in Armenia and in China, and stressed the need for women’s involvement in public and political life.
