YEREVAN. – Armenia attaches importance to the development of bilateral cooperation with German, Foreign Minister Edward Nabandyan said at a joint press conference with German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier. 

All meeting with German counterpart are very effective and meaningful, Nalbandian said.

During the meeting, Foreign Ministers touched upon bilateral relations, high level political dialogue. The sides discussed issues of inter-parliamentary and decentralized cooperation, regional and international challenges. 

In addition, the sides exchanged views on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. 

“I presented the joint efforts of Armenia and OSCE Minsk Group towards a peaceful settlement of the conflict and briefed the Minister on preparations for the Paris summit of the Presidents of France, Armenia and Azerbaijan. We also discussed the Armenia-EU relations, it was noted that Armenia attaches importance to cooperation with Germany in this format,” Minister said. 

He assured that official Yerevan will continue the efforts to create a legal framework for the development of relations with the EU. 

The parties also discussed the Ukrainian crisis, the situation in Syria and Iraq
