During Monday’s meeting in Paris, French President François Hollande discussed with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev the matter with respect to Azerbaijani human rights activist Leyla Yunus, who is suspected of spying for Armenia, Agence France-Presse reported. 

The agency also informed that Aliyev had “assumed commitments upon himself” on this matter, in the case when, on October 24, the 57-year-old activist’s detention was extended for another four months.

Negotiations over the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict were held in Paris on Monday.

The talks between President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev were conducted at the initiative of French President François Hollande, and with the participation of the three co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
