YEREVAN. - Armenia is firm in its intention to complete the ratification process of the package of documents required to join the Customs Union, said President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian News - NEWS.am reports.

President Sargsyan stressed in an interview to Armenpress that the tremendous work has been already done in terms of implementation of the road map for the accession in Russia-led union. In future, Armenia will also act as a responsible partner, fulfilling all its obligations.

“We have already received the documents from government and sent them to the Constitutional Court. The hearing in Constitutional Court will begin on November 14. By November 17, there will be a decision. Then the documents [on Armenia’s accession to Customs Union] will be forwarded to the National Assembly, which will discuss them in committees. Finally, early in December, the decision will be on the agenda [of the parliament[,” President Sargsyan said.

He added that the Armenian side also expects ratification of documents by partner countries, so that Armenia can start its full membership in Eurasian Union on January 1, 2015.
