YEREVAN. - The Armenian government plans to develop its cooperation with Microsoft, Armenian News - NEWS.am reports.

According to the press service of the government, Armenia’s Prime Minister Hovik Abramyan met on Monday with Microsoft General Manager of Local, Municipal, Government, Health & Education business Mark Day. At the meeting the PM stressed that Armenia actively cooperates with Microsoft in the sphere of information technologies, and this area is one of the key priorities of the country. Armenia’s Government has a number of successful programs and initiatives with many international companies, including Microsoft, added Hovik Abrahamyan.

Mark Day noted that he is impressed with the cooperation and achievements of Microsoft and the Government of Armenia.

“Armenia’s rating in the IT sector has reached the impressive level and many countries are interested by the experience of your country,” Microsoft general manager said.

According to Day, Microsoft is interested in long-term cooperation with the Government of Armenia.
