YEREVAN. - New agreement on Armenia’s economic cooperation with the European Union is real, said the Minister of Economy of Armenia Karen Chshmarityan, Armenian News - NEWS.am reports.

The minister commented on the results of his recent meeting with EU Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn in Brussels.

“We came to the agreement that we are ready to continue our cooperation with the EU. It is only necessary to agree on the format of our relations, then we can sign a document on the development of economic cooperation,” Minister Chshmarityan said.

At the same time, he did not clarify whether any agreement can be signed with EU on political affairs.

“We did not have any negotiations on political cooperation,” added Karen Chshmarityan.
