YEREVAN. –The Minister of Agriculture of Armenia, Sergo Karapetyan, on Wednesday traveled to Italy on a three-day working visit. 

In the capital city of Rome, the minister will participate in the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Second International Conference on Nutrition. The event will be held from Wednesday to Friday, informed the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia.  

Along the lines of his visit, Karapetyan is also scheduled to meet with FAO Director General José Graziano da Silva, and the Italian Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, Maurizio Martina. During the meeting with the Italian minister, the parties also will sign a memorandum of understanding on agricultural cooperation between the two respective ministries of Armenia and Italy.
