YEREVAN. – Armenian drams equivalent to more than USD 45,000 were spent from the state budget solely for the flight expenses of the Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan-led delegation’s recent trip to Iran, Zhoghovurd daily reported.

“The [respective] amount was paid to Air Armenia company.

“The chartered flight for this purpose was conducted with the presidential Airbus А319 aircraft.

“In early November 2013, today’s non-government forces had ‘riveted’ former PM Tigran Sargsyan to the ‘pillory,’ since it was found out that millions of drams were spent on the chartered flights for his visits abroad.

“It is interesting why the same principles are not displayed in Abrahamyan’s case,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
