YEREVAN. – The Armenian-Latvian cultural ties will further strengthen and develop in the future. 

The Minister of Culture of Armenia, Hasmik Poghosyan, on Wednesday stated the aforementioned at her talk with Latvian Ambassador to Armenia Elita Gavele, whose diplomatic residence is in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi, informed the press service of the Ministry of Culture.

During the conversation, the Armenian minister reflected on the bilateral cultural cooperation in previous years, and she noted that this collaboration is more active between the national libraries of the two countries and in literature. Poghosyan also proposed to make this cooperation become continuous.       

In addition, the interlocutors discussed several other bilateral cooperation matters, and various cultural programs that are slated for the future. 

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Gavele thanked Minister Poghosyan for her warm reception, and her efforts to develop the Armenian-Latvian cultural ties.
