YEREVAN. - The American national currency (USD) exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 435.50/$1 in Armenia on Monday, a 16 dram increase as compared with last week.

The exchange rate for one euro was AMD 539.53t (up by AMD 19.38), that of one British pound was AMD 680.34 (up by AMD 26.55), and the rate of one Russian ruble was AMD 9,70 (up by AMD 0.57), informed the Central Bank of Armenia press service.

One gram of silver, gold, and platinum amounted to AMD 227.96, AMD 16,835.13 , and AMD 17,202.26, respectively.

The sales on Monday totaled USD 31,190,000 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange. The transactions were conducted at an average exchange rate of AMD 453.5/$1.

The sales on Sunday made $1.5 million at an average rate of AMD 418/$1.
