YEREVAN. – Armenia has no right to take new loans, since with the current falling rate of dram against dollar, the burden of these loans will become even more serious, MP from Heritage party said.

Representatives of four non-ruling parliamentary factions touched upon serious economic situation in Armenia during a joint press conference on Tuesday.

Secretary of Prosperous Armenia faction Naira Zohrabyan, those who topple the Armenian dram should be held accountable before people.

“This should be the subject of an extraordinary session of parliament,” she said, adding that they insist on holding a special session.

For his part, MP from the Armenian National Congress Gagik Jahangiryan said people are living worse.

“Especially when currency fluctuations and higher prices are the result of voluntarism of the authorities,” he concluded.
