YEREVAN. – The raw materials required for the production of shoes can easily be found in the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member countries.

Armenia-based Sports Shoes Factory of Yeghvard company Managing Director Misha Ulikhanyan told about the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In Ulikhanyan’s, the leather for making the shoes can be acquired from Russia and Belarus.

He also expressed a view that working with their partners in the EEU countries (Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan) will help make use of preferential tax administration, especially the deferral of the value-added tax (VAT).     

“Now, both the [Armenian] army and the doctors buy our product. We have no problems in the domestic market, and the EEU market likewise will help us,” the company boss added.
