YEREVAN. – Ravings and gossip are not subject to commentary, on Thursday said Karen Chshmarityan, the Minister of Economy of Armenia.

He stated the above-said with respect to Wednesday’s special parliamentary session, which was devoted to the current situation in the country’s currency market and the sharp depreciation of the Armenian national currency, the dram.

Chshmarityan did not wish to respond the question on whether the government officials have threatened to punish the businessman MPs for speculations.

“I don’t comment on ravings and gossip,” the minister noted.

Ever since Wednesday evening, however, the dram has started to considerably strengthen.
