YEREVAN. – Residents of Armenian villages located on the border with Azerbaijan will get a 50-percent discount for electricity and gas next year.

The relevant decision was signed by the government during a meeting on Thursday.

According to the decision, residents of 32 villages bordering with Azerbaijan will get a partial compensation for gas, electricity and irrigation water payments.

The communities not having gas will get subsidies for additional use of electricity instead of gas.
