Iranian Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Ali Jannati, at a meeting with Armenian Ambassador Grigor Arakelian in Tehran, stressed that mutual cultural and artistic cooperation between Iran and Armenia should be expanded.

Jannati said that there are common musical backgrounds between Iran and Armenia, reported IBNA news agency of Iran.

Pointing to the potential capacities of Isfahan—a major city in Iran—to improve the mutually cultural and artistic activities, the minister also said that his ministry is ready to publish Armenian books.

The Armenian ambassador, for his part, asserted that the international competitions of Armenians from across the world would be held in Tehran this year and “numerous Armenians will travel to the Iranian capital from all over the world to attend it.”
