YEREVAN. – Armenian farmers want to sow more vegetables for the exports to the Eurasian Economic Union, Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan said.

Some reduction in wheat crops can be registered in the Ararat valley in favor of vegetables this fall.

“We asked the farmers about the causes. They said they want to sow vegetables and profitably sell them for export”, the Minister added.

This is not surprising, because Russia and the CIS countries are traditionally the most important markets for Armenian fruits and vegetables, Karapetyan added.
