YEREVAN. – A citizen of Armenia tried to illegally cross the border with Turkey after arguing with his relatives.
The man tried to cross border near Akhurik settlement, but was detained 150 meters away from the frontier, border department of Russian Federal Security Service in Armenia said in a statement.
No documents proving his identity were found by the border guards. The man said he was hosted by his relatives, and decided to cross the border after an argument.
According to the statement, relatives finally brought the papers proving his identity.
