YEREVAN. – There is no need to worry about Armenia chip designers’ outflow to Russia, Synopsys Armenia CJSC Director Hovik Musayelyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He added that Armenia is one of the world’s leading countries in integrated circuit design.

“We [, Armenia,] are considerably ahead in terms of chip-designer per capita,” Musayelyan ensured.

In his words, the salaries of integrated circuit designers in Armenia are not the at all the lowest, as compared to international standards.

“I don’t want to compare them [i.e., the salaries,] with the Russian ones, but they are quite reasonable, as compared with other countries.

“That’s why a huge flow of programmers should not be expected, as was previously in the case of the US and Europe, even in light of Armenia’s accession to the [Russia-led] Eurasian Economic Union and the chance for the people’s a freedom of movement within the four member countries [i.e., Armenia, Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan] of the organization,” Hovik Musayelyan concluded.
