YEREVAN. – As of January 1, 2015, and within the framework of the [Russia-led] Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), the citizens of Armenia, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus will benefit from new opportunities in the education sector.

The Minister of Education and Science of Armenia, Armen Ashotyan, wrote the abovementioned in his Facebook account.

“With the corresponding point of the Union treaty, the following is envisioned:

“1) The education documents of the citizens of the [EEU] member countries will be recognized automatically, [and] without the procedures the states have specified.

“2) The pedagogical, law, medical and pharmaceutical education certificates are subject to recognition in accordance with the procedures the states have specified.

“3) The documents of academic titles and academic degrees are recognized pursuant to the legislation of the member states,” Ashotyan noted, in particular.
