YEREVAN. – An Armenian artist, an advocate of preserving national traditions, called on Armenians to put a traditional new year symbol – The Tree of Life.

The tree of life was traditionally made of straws formed in the shape of a tree as well as a sheaf of five ears, Lusik Aguletsi said.

“Our grandmothers decorated the trees with fruits and knitted dolls. Don't be afraid to waste time. It's worthy spending a day to prepare it with your family,” she assured.
