YEREVAN. – The Ambassador of Armenia to Germany Vahan Hovhannisyan, who is also a notable figure of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party, has died on Sunday.

Hovhannisyan was fighting a severe illness for a long time.

In connection with his passing, a governmental commission, led by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, has been set up, the PM’s spokesperson, Gohar Poghosyan, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Vahan Hovhannisyan was born in capital city Yerevan on August 16, 1956.
