YEREVAN. – The Minister of Justice of Armenia, Hovhannes Manukyan, on Tuesday received Lithuanian Ambassador Erikas Petrikas.

First, the diplomat extended sympathies and support, on his behalf and that of the Lithuanian authorities, to the Armenian nation, in connection with the recent tragedy that occurred in Gyumri city, where an entire family was brutally killed in their home.

At the ensuing talk, the parties discussed some details regarding Lithuanian Minister of Justice Juozas Bernatonis’ forthcoming visit to Armenia, and they clarified several matters on the agenda, informed the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Manukyan noted that Lithuania as well as the other European Union countries are important partners for Armenia, and its government stands ready to continue cooperation.

Ambassador Petrikas likewise considered Armenian-Lithuanian collaboration as productive, and noted that the existing partnership between the two countries is a successful example of international relations.
