The sources of Armenian News-NEWS.am have informed that a criminal case has been instituted in connection with the adversary’s recent violation of the ceasefire regime.

We have learned that the criminal case was filed on charges of murder by a motive of national, racial or religious hatred, or religious fanaticism.

As reported earlier, the adversary violated the ceasefire along the entire length of the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces around 220 times, on Monday and the early morning hours on Tuesday.

During this time, more than 2,000 shots were fired in the direction of Armenian military positions, and by way of different-caliber rifle weaponry, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army reported.

In addition, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces launched eight sabotage and intelligence-gathering attempts from different sectors of the Line of Contact. But all these attempts were detected on time, and as a result, the Azerbaijani army units were driven back while suffering losses.

But due to the ceasefire violation by the adversary, Armenian soldier Suren Pilosyan (born in 1995) sustained a fatal gunshot wound at the line of duty of the protection area of an NKR Defense Army unit stationed in a southerly direction.

An investigation is underway to ascertain the details of this incident.
