STEPANAKERT. – As a result of the preventive actions taken by the Nagorno-Karabakh forces within the passing week, the aggressive Azerbaijani side has suffered at least fourteen casualties and over twenty wounded. In addition, an Azerbaijani command motor vehicle and a soldier-carrying motor vehicle were rendered non-operational.

The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army press service informed about the abovementioned.

According to the Defense Army operative data, the adversary violated the ceasefire on the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces around 1,800 times in the passing week. During this time, it fired more than 20,000 shots in the direction of Armenian military positions.

Also in the same period, the special divisions of the Azerbaijani army launched over two dozen sabotage and intelligence-gathering infiltration attempts at different sectors of the Line of Contact. But these divisions stumbled upon the solid defense by the Armenian military positions, and as a result, they were driven back to their initial positions while suffering casualties in the process.

The NKR Defense Army confidently fulfills its military task along the entire length of the Line of Contact, takes punitive tactical operational actions as needed, and quells the “activeness” by the adversary.
