YEREVAN. – Qatar’s new Ambassador to Armenia, Ali bin Hamad Al Sulaiti, on Tuesday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

Sargsyan congratulated and wished success to the newly appointed ambassador, and expressed the hope that the diplomat will spare no effort to strengthen and develop Armenia-Qatar cooperation. He noted that Armenia underscores the development of relations with the Persian Gulf countries, including Qatar. The President also expressed confidence that Armenian-Qatari relations can develop with success.

Ambassador Ali bin Hamad Al Sulaiti, for his part, assured that he will make all efforts to develop bilateral relations, and make full use of the great potential for cooperation.

In addition, the interlocutors highlighted the need to expand the legal and contractual framework to boost Armenia-Qatar collaboration.

Serzh Sargsyan and Ali bin Hamad Al Sulaiti also reflected on the current regional and international matters.
