Lawmaker from Peace and Democracy Party, a Kurdish party in the Turkish parliament, Gulser Yildirim has submitted a written inquiry on threatened languages to Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
The inquiry says that 18 languages, including Kurdish, Georgian, Hamshen, Armenian, Assyrian, are endangered in Turkey, Bianet website reported.
According to the UNESCO report, three languages have already disappeared in Turkey, the lawmaker said.
Gulser Yildirim submitted the inquiry in eight languages, including in Armenian.
