YEREVAN. – The extraordinary congress of Prosperous Armenia party may bring about realignment of the opposition force, chairman of Heritage parliamentary group Ruben Hakobyan told reporters.

Hakobyan said they had not received an invitation for the March 5 congress and were not aware whether representatives of other political groups would participate.

“I think that the congress will clarify the position of Prosperous Armenia and will also lead to realignment of the opposition on the whole,” Hakobyan said.

Asked to specify what he means by expecting changes, Hakobyan said: “There must be a counterbalance to the regime, and none of political forces is capable of doing it alone. Especially when the machine is focused on repressions.”
