On the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the pogrom carried out by the Azerbaijanis against the Armenians in Sumgait, Azerbaijan, thousands in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) capital city Stepanakert paid tribute to the pogrom victims with a march of mourning on Saturday.

The people, holding banners, marched to the memorial that has been built to honor the victims of the Armenian pogrom in Sumgait, and placed flowers to the Cemetery of Brotherhood.

NKR President Bako Sahakyan, MPs, and government representatives also participated in the march.
