STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh) President Bako Sahakyan on Thursday attended, in capital city Stepanakert, the official opening of the new building of the Artsakh Information Technologies Center fund.

Sahakyan stressed that information technology (IT) is among the most promising and prospective directions of the socioeconomic development of the NKR. He also expressed the hope that the fund will substantially contribute to the IT progress, and establish practical ties between the leading local, Armenia-based, and foreign organizations.

The President expressed gratitude to philanthropist Konstantin Manukyan for participating in the implementation of this program, and highlighted his continuous patriotic activity in Artsakh.

Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, who is Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, several other officials, and guests from abroad also were on hand at the event.
