Artashes Tumanyan, the new ambassador of Armenia to Iran, extended copies of his credentials to Iran’s FM Mohammad Javad Zarif on Saturday.

Ambassador Tumanyan coveyed to Iran’s FM the warm greetings of Armenia’s FM Eduard Nalbandyan, noting that as an ambassador he would strive to do his best for the further enhancement of the existing warm diplomatic relations between the two countries, as reported to Armenian-NEWS.am by MFA press-service.  

In his turn, Iran’s FM highly appreciated the level of relations between the two countries and expressed his support to Armenia’s new ambassador in fulfilling his mission.

Ambassador Tumanyan said that his work will be targeted at contributing to the deepening of economic relations between Armenia and Iran in favorable political conditions.  

In discussing the ongoing talks over Iran’s nuclear deal, Ambassador Tumanyan said that Armenia was one of the first countries to welcome the framework agreement, achieved in the course of talks on Iran nuclear program in Lausanne.
